We aim to find long term solutions to the most pressing issues facing some of the world’s poorest countries. We achieve this by founding or funding development organisations or programmes which contribute to our goal of enabling ‘systemic change’, so that improved governance can become permanent and not dependant on charitable organisations.
Focusing on the root of the problem in this way is, we believe, the most effective means of achieving improvements over the long term which result in more prosperous, healthy, educated, tolerant and fairer states and societies. It also helps to ensure that money invested gets the maximum return for the communities it is intended to help.
The Foundation has helped tens of thousands of young people to reach their full potential. But with the multiplier effect we create by helping to develop the leaders of tomorrow – leaders with the vision and capacity to improve their communities and countries – we aim ultimately, to help millions of people.
